Courses scheduled and delivered by South Ayrshire Council incur no direct costs to services unless otherwise stated within course information. We have signposted links to other resources, seminars and events, however, we are not responsible for the application process, quality of delivery and any costs.
Note to Co-ordinators/Authorisers; The new gateway allows you to apply direct for one of your staff to attend a course ("Put Staff Forward" button within course information). If you wish to apply for a course for yourself you must go to "My Profile" and update the equal opportunities information (you do this only once) and on completion of this step you will find within the course information an "apply" button is now available, this enables you to apply for a course for yourself.
Career Long Professional Learning (CLPL) is for everyone. The range of experiences that contribute to professional development is very wide and should be recognised as anything that progresses, assists or enhances professionalism such as, attendance at courses, preparatory or follow up work for courses, development work, learning about other services, contributing to the learning and development of others, coaching, work shadowing, membership of working group, reading of materials - journals, books, research information etc. We hope that you find this website user-friendly and of benefit to you when planning your CLPL.
